Pattern Crochet respects copyright and reviews clear reports that material on the website may infringe another person’s rights. This page provides a contact process for copyright concerns and describes information commonly required for notices under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

This page does not state that Pattern Crochet is registered as a designated agent with the United States Copyright Office or that it qualifies for a statutory safe harbor. A sender remains responsible for using any formally required service channel and for obtaining legal advice when needed.

Copyright infringement notice

To help us identify and evaluate a claim, send a written notice containing:

1. a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner;
2. identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works on one website are covered;
3. identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it, including the exact Pattern Crochet URL;
4. your name and information reasonably sufficient to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and email address;
5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
6. a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Email the notice to hello@patterncrochet.net with the subject Copyright notice. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation may have legal consequences.

Review and action

We may request clarification, review the identified material, contact the person or rights holder associated with it, preserve necessary records, and remove or restrict material when appropriate. Submission does not guarantee a particular outcome or immediate action. We may decline a notice that lacks enough information to identify the work, material, authority, or claim.

Counter-notice

If material you provided was removed or restricted because of a copyright notice and you believe this resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notice containing:

1. your physical or electronic signature;
2. identification of the removed or restricted material and its former location;
3. a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or restricted because of mistake or misidentification;
4. your name, address, and telephone number;
5. consent to the jurisdiction specified by 17 U.S.C. section 512(g)(3), as applicable to your address; and
6. a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person’s agent.

We may forward a counter-notice and its contact information to the original claimant when legally appropriate. Do not submit information you are not prepared to have shared for that purpose.
